The ideal candidate will have a robust background in labor and employment law, collective bargaining, education law, and special education law. They should also be well-versed in public sector labor law, civil litigation, contract grievances, arbitrations, and improper practices. Representing clients in labor and employment matters, including collective bargaining, contract grievances, and arbitrations. 2. Handling a wide range of education law and special education law issues. 3. Managing cases involving public sector labor law, civil litigation, and improper practices. 4.

Conducting thorough legal research and drafting legal documents, including briefs, motions, and pleadings. 5. Advising clients on legal rights and obligations, and helping them understand the complexities of the law. 6. Representing clients before administrative bodies such as the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB). 7.

Maintaining case management systems and ensuring all case-related documents are properly stored and easily accessible. 8. Collaborating with other attorneys and professionals to provide the best legal services to our clients. Qualifications: The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications: 1.

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a labor and employment attorney. 3. Admission to the New York State Bar. 4.

Proven experience in collective bargaining, education law, special education law, and public sector labor law. 5. Solid understanding of civil litigation, contract grievances, arbitrations, and improper practices. 6. Excellent legal research and writing skills. 7.

Experience with case management systems and document drafting. 8. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines. 9. Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills. 10.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
