Associate Attorney

Chaplin & Gonet is a well-established, multi-state Law Firm specializing in Insurance Subrogation and Collections throughout the Mid-Atlantic & Southeast regions. Our Charlotte, North Carolina Office is seeking a Full Time Associate Attorney.

Are you a new attorney looking for experience? Are you an established Attorney looking for a change? We are looking for an attorney who is licensed to practice in both North and South Carolina.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated junior to mid-level attorney seeking professional growth in a dynamic and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities and Job Qualifications: · Must have a Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited Law School. · Must have Licenses to practice law in North and South Carolina and be in good standing with the State Bars. · Must have the ability to travel to select courts throughout South Carolina and North Carolina. · Trial Experience preferred, but not required. · Strong written and oral communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. · Experience in Creditors’ rights or Motor Vehicle torts preferred, but not required. · Post-judgment collection experience preferred, but not required. · Handle all aspects of litigation, from initial case evaluation through resolution. · Strong courtroom presence and ability to manage cases independently. · Comfortable with South Carolina litigation docket. · Must have strong organizational skills to autonomously manage a large volume of files, meet deadlines, create litigation plans, conduct discovery while maintaining exceptional client interaction. · Managing account updates in collections software (JST CollectMax). · Maintain compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. · Strict confidentiality assured.
