Senior Associate, Attorney - Workers Compensation
One of the largest workers’ compensation law firms in California is seeking to add a few Associate Attorneys and Senior Associates to their team. The position is 100% remote if you are based near a major city in California (occasional need to be in court/board).
As part of their dynamic legal team, you will represent clients in workers' compensation defense claims and litigate matters with expertise and dedication. The ideal candidate will have a background in workers' compensation law, a proactive approach to client service, and a commitment to achieving favorable outcomes.
If you have over 5+ years of experience the role can be “Senior Attorney”.
Responsibilities:
- Legal Representation: Provide expert legal representation in workers' compensation defense cases, including handling hearings, depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
- Legal Strategy & Analysis: Conduct thorough legal research, analyze complex cases, and develop sound legal strategies to defend clients’ interests.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with clients, providing clear communication and timely updates.
- Collaboration: Work closely with fellow attorneys and support staff to provide cohesive and comprehensive legal services.
- Documentation & Case Management: Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and case briefs. Maintain organized case files and ensure deadlines are met.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the California State Bar.
- 3+ years of experience in workers’ compensation defense or a similar practice area.
- Proven ability to handle complex cases, legal research, and litigation matters.
