Program Description:

This program is part of Harley-Davidson's larger Global Information Services (GIS) Organization and is designed to develop broad knowledge across GIS and cultivate great entry-level talent for the Harley-Davidson GIS Organization. The rotational GIS Development Program is a structured 3-year program, which allows associates to gain experience in four distinct roles, each an important aspect of providing technology, leadership, and business capabilities to enable our company strategies, protect the brand, and fulfill our company purpose.

Rotations will include the following with each comprised of a variety of intentional, outcome-driven experiences:

  • Customer Facing

  • Technologist

  • Project Delivery

  • Operations

Associates will have the opportunity to work and collaborate with GIS Managers and H-D Leaders throughout the various rotations and will also receive coaching, mentoring, and additional development during rotational assignments. While part of the rotational GIS Development Program, associates will build a network across the Harley-Davidson organization and experience the unique culture of Harley-Davidson.

This position will be based out of Plano, TX

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and work within assigned work teams to ensure delivery of high-value technology solutions for the betterment of GIS and Harley-Davidson.

  • Learn and connect cross-functional GIS processes to ultimately form and share recommendations that drive sustained efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Participate in coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities during rotational work assignments.

  • Network across the larger IGNITE community within Harley-Davidson to influence early career perspectives among cross-functional leadership groups

  • Communicate rotational work experiences and organizational observations with various GIS leaders through both formal and informal opportunities.

  • Other duties as assigned

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Education Specifications

  • A major or minor in Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), or technology-equivalent degree preferred

  • Minimum grade point average of 3.0 on 4.0 scale

Experience Requirements

Required

  • Prior professional internship or co-op experience in IT or business preferred

  • Demonstrated leadership through school and/or community involvement

  • Building and sustaining relationships

  • Ability to adapt in various work environments and situations

  • Good communication skills

  • Citizenship or permanent residency for location of their employment

  • Strong computer skills

Job Overview As a Global Quality Information Manager, the position is responsible for leading, establishing and maintaining a Quality information management system capable of meeting regulatory, quality and company requirements for Quality information in a manufacturing and service environment. This position mentors-works with Quality Management regional resources, leads global initiatives, establishes quality information systems management policies and procedures, and provides training for all employees. Responsibilities Global lead for regional Quality Information Lead / Specialists/Coordinators for region-site specific Quality Assurance Manual, operating procedures, forms, work instructions, training documents and process maps. * Control of documentation for planning, operation and control of its processes is an ISO 9000:2015 requirement. This ISO requirement is audited on a yearly basis by Registrar. * Using the Document Review Site and other development tools, which involves reviewing / revising each document submitted and following it through to publication. * Responsible for global document change control for Quality processes and applications. Control design changes will include, but not limited to test results, software/hardware configuration documentation, design history files, customer communication, and deviations. * Maintain controlled indexes of each manual as well as the required history files for all documents. Global Lead for regional Quality functions using SharePoint, designed and currently maintain regional Quality SharePoint site collection. Developed these sites for use by regional personnel to create a communication portal for products, processes, and record retention. * Review requirements with "owner": identify required data fields, who needs to access, what type of access, how much functionality, how to retrieve / report * Design the layout of the Main Page and the "views" needed for retrieving data * Work with Director of Quality and GBS personnel to develop and test SharePoint applications * Assign access to defined audiences. * Once published, prepare user notification, training (if necessary) for assigned personnel. * Review and revised pages, data, access, etc. on an ongoing basis. * Establish and maintain a configuration management system compliant with regulatory, quality, company, and customer (both internal and external) requirements. * Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into released to applications on JGN. * Ensures accuracy by reviewing design release documents for completeness, proper authorization and system updates on JGN. * Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure timely implementation of SharePoint structure that facilitates documentation controlled by Quality team. * Provide work direction and guidance to staff to assure completion of assigned tasks and other duties. * Responsible for procedure reviews and facilitating procedure updates with process owners. * Assure that all company personnel are adequately trained in the principals, policies, and procedures of the configuration management system.
