National Grid Ventures is hiring a Strategic Supply Chain & Logistics Associate Analyst. The location of the position can sit in Brooklyn, NY, Melville, NY, Hicksville, NY, Boston, MA or Waltham, MA.

Job Purpose

  • This role is part of the Strategic Supply Chain & Logistics team, which is part of the NGV US Northeast Offshore Wind team. Supply chain and logistics support for other NGV projects may be needed from time to time.

  • This role will be focused on supporting the team with offshore wind supply chain data collection, management, and analysis. Such data will be used to evaluate potential business supplier opportunities, manage supplier commitments, and/or to form recommendations to present to NGV and Community Offshore Wind (COSW) leadership.

  • This role requires significant self-direction and adaptability

Key Accountabilities

  • Collect and maintain market data on equipment and offshore wind projects

  • Prepare analyses of potential suppliers and sub-suppliers

  • Manage supplier performance and adherence to contractual agreements

  • Build relationships with existing and potential suppliers

  • Assist COSW with securing the services and equipment necessary to develop the project as well as to fulfil the local content commitments it has made

Qualifications

  • The capacity to grasp complex subject matter quickly

  • Ability to successfully prioritize and handle multiple tasks and be comfortable navigating through ambiguity

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)

  • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail

  • Ability to work collaboratively across all project teams, primarily on offshore wind but also other renewable energy and transmission projects

  • Desire to contribute to and learn about a fast-developing industry

  • Experience negotiating with third-party vendors, contractors, and advisors is desired, though not required

  • Experience working in a joint venture team is desired, though not required

  • Existing relationships with vessel or port operators, offshore wind, onshore renewables, transmission and/or other related equipment vendors and general contractors is desired, though not required

More Information

Salary

Downstate NY: $77,000 - $90,000 a year

New England MA: $71,000 - $84,000 a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
