About this Position: The purpose of the Associate Analyst, Ancillary Product and Data Vendor Management is to...

  • Be knowledgeable about ancillary products policies and processes, including GAP, Vehicle Service Contracts (VSC) and starter interrupt devices with GPS (GPS-SID)

  • Work directly with ancillary product and data vendors to ensure all processes are functioning correctly and assist in handling technical issues that may arise

  • Assist Funding, Finance, Corporate Legal, and Servicing teams in researching and resolving issues related to ancillary products and data vendors

  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new policies and processes for ancillary products and data vendors

  • Update and maintain vendor status, contract status, and servicing vendor usage reports

  • Run ad hoc data reports for key business users

Outcomes & Activities:

  • Assist in projects and initiatives relating to ancillary products, including the formulation of requirements and performing UAT

  • Maintain accurate records of communications and agreements with vendors

  • Perform data analysis to solve business problems and drive better decisions

  • Develop and produce reports to measure the performance of processes and strategies

  • Remain compliant with our policies, processes and legal guidelines

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, etc. - preferred), or 1 year of tenure at Credit Acceptance

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, or other technical knowledge

  • Be able to communicate complex information to others in a way they can understand

  • Be self-motivated and able to perform with minimal supervision

  • Be able to apply analytical skills to solve problems creatively

  • Work onsite at the assigned Credit Acceptance work location

Preferred:

  • Basic working knowledge of SQL, SAS, R, Python, or other computer language

  • Working knowledge of Credit Acceptance core systems (CAPS, LSS, Artiva)

  • 1+ years' experience in auto lending analytics

Primary point of contact with the business to define, gather, refine and prioritize business requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Catalog Data IT Business Analyst is responsible for the support of the Motorparts organization. This work may include: * Collaborate with members of the Catalog team to design solutions * Support activities for bug/fix and changes for the Catalog applications and interfaces * Possess strong coordination skills and a cooperative approach to problem solving * Document business requirements; functional description and program specifications of the business solution in the Catalog area. * Build and test system solutions, including creating formal test plans, test data and using a formal testing tool to log results * Build template solutions * Confirm with the Customer that the solution meets the business requirement * Coordinate and perform detailed, complex data cleansing * Work with software vendors and external application resources in cases where the business solution requires it REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in related field required. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE * Minimum of 4 years' experience with configuration and implementation of Product Catalog solutions/applications in Automotive area * Experience in writing Technical & Functional specification documents for developers * Experience with relational database design * Integration and regression testing experience * Implementation and/or support experience in a global environment is highly preferred. * Automotive industry experience – specifically relating to product catalogue * Strong analytical approach to problem solving and solution development * Ability to review functional and technical specifications and make recommendations for improvement prior to development * Willingness to adhere to a standard, global template and maintain the consistency of the global process model.
