About this Role:

This position is responsible for Short Doyle Medi-Cal (SDMC), Local Assistance Program Services and other related Medi-Cal programs activities. This includes accounting for local assistance expenditures for multiple federal/state funded programs, accounting for numerous agreements, processing, reviewing claims schedules, preparing general fund transfer, several federal reports, and providing supporting documentation for the federal draw. In addition, this position requires the incumbent to independently analyze complex reports and ensure accurate reporting of expenditures to the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The Associate Administrative Analyst independently performs the more difficult accounting functions associated with the Inter-Governmental Transfers (IGT) tracking, reviewing, modifying, and reconciling accounting records. Subject matter expert in all Mental Health related issues. Process weekly electronic claims, testing new Service Location (SLs) through USL System. Coordinate with STO (State Treasurer's Office), SCO (State Controller's Office) and other state agencies and work closely with Enterprise Innovation Technology Services (EITS).

This position is in Midtown Sacramento located in a multi-story building right across the street from the beautiful Rose Garden located in the Capitol Park. The location is conveniently located near plenty of access to public transportation/parking and close to several excellent restaurants. Our building has easy access to I-5, Highway 50, and Highway 80.

The Fiscal Program's Financial Management Division (FMD) works to accomplish DHCS's mission by ensuring the fiscal integrity, transparency and accountability of approximately $144.2 billion annually in state and federal funding. This is accomplished by overseeing the financial operations of DHCS, including financial reporting, resource management, and budget development and oversight. FMD provides guidance and consultation to programs on funding needs, expenditures, including contracts and purchasing, and audit support, while ensuring funds are accurately reported.

Telework Information

This position may be eligible for telework up to three days per week and is required to report in-person and site-based a minimum of two days per week. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change consistent with DHCS' Telework Program and Government Code sections 14200 - 14203. Telework is available to California residents, and proof of residency may be required.

Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee's designated office and residence subject to regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the reporting location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
