Associate Accountant - Green Forest, Arkansas

Summary:

This position provides comprehensive support aimed at enhancing day-to-day operations, with a strong emphasis on meeting deadlines and supporting financial closing and reporting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong interpersonal skills, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities:

Process Purchase to Pay (P2P) transactions and handle payment processing.

Assist in researching and resolving issues within the P2P process.

Manage daily cash applications of customer cash receipts.

Follow up on collections of aged accounts.

Assist with the monthly close process.

Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and amortize prepaid expenses.

Manage and retain documents, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.

Compile data for 1099 filings.

Assist with ad hoc management reports and projects as they arise.

Interact with Tyson Team Members, vendors, and customers across the organization.

Requirements: Candidates must submit resume with application.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, required.

• Experience: 6+ months of work experience preferred but not required.

• Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); SAP experience is a plus.

• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Special Skills: Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment, exercise good judgment, prioritize tasks, and coordinate with others.

• Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

• Travel: Occasional travel, 1+ trips per year.
