This position supports the Climate business.
As an Associate Account Manager, you will be responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established territory. As an account manager you will be responsible for developing long-term customer relationships and maximizing account penetration and customer retention with building owner accounts with a focus on providing knowledge and consultation in the form of developing HVAC system related solutions for the customer's problems, including financial and performance-based considerations.
Support of assigned account managers and their assigned customers with HVAC systems & equipment product selections, application, proposals and sales development.
Manage leads, opportunities, HVAC system proposals, sales & customer field support.
Promptly answers and responds to customer calls by determining needs, answering questions, or transferring to appropriate internal personnel, if needed.
Quotes, closes, and transitions Technician Leads and other Service repair work under the direction of the Account Managers
Generates Estimates and Proposals for Service work under the direction of the Account Managers.
May provide field survey work in connection with developing, estimating and proposing Service Solutions.
Consistently ascertains customer needs and current market opportunities. Assembles and coordinates sales team as needed for customers and projects.
Identifies potential opportunities with existing and new customers.
Converts leads into opportunities by identifying the required sales team members and assisting in the process.
Provides total account business reports and annual forecasts.
Provides quotes for service repairs, change outs, IAQ, and energy solutions including quotes for time and material as well as fixed price services
Contacts responsible parties for purposes of securing renewal of service contracts.
Prepares and finalizes preliminary/final proposal. Enters customer/project information into business systems.
Prepares transition documents and communicates project readiness for assignment to operations team.
Resolves major deviations from scope with team after Project Scope Validation.
Assists customers in answering technical questions on HVAC systems, Trane Products, and relevant industry issues
Associate's degree in engineering, engineering technology or business management
1 to 3 years of experience in Mechanical Contracting / HVAC or Facilities Management fields
Working knowledge of HVAC systems and Microsoft Office products.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
