The Associate Account Director has mastered communications project management and has a strong POV on the health care and digital health market. They confidently lead client projects and internal teams, encouraging smart, effective and integrated solutions. They always deliver results and client satisfaction. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations

  • Manages internal teams to ensure technical and operational excellence in all executions

  • Acts as gate-keeper in identifying red flags and recommending proactive solutions to mitigate risk

  • Escalates problems and risks appropriately using sound judgement and technical knowledge

  • Collaborates with colleagues and peers throughout the business to identify opportunities to streamline, elevate and innovate our tactical processes

Mentoring

  • Trains junior staff on W2O processes, account management responsibilities and the healthcare / digital landscape

  • Understands cross-functional capabilities and motivates cross-functional teamwork

  • Motivates teams through engaging and active management and career development practices

  • Sets clear performance objectives and utilizes all management tools to communicate alignment and performance measures

Client Relationship

  • Through your stewardship of client budgets and internal resources you have become a trusted partner for your client, ensuring all campaigns are perfectly executed

  • Thoroughly understands and communicates clients' expectations internally to ensure staffing resources and performance expectations are met

  • Maintains ongoing, effective communications with client peers to ensure there are no surprises and W2O's work is meeting all expectations

  • Contributes to overall client financial management and establishes and meets internal client and project revenue targets

  • Participates in quarterly and annual strategic communications planning and business analysis

  • Manages multiple client projects of varying sizes in a fast-paced environment

Strategy

  • Collaborates with client peers to drive solutions that respond to business and communications challenges

  • Develops a thorough understanding of W2O's capabilities and demonstrates a passion for healthcare, digital and communications to help spot opportunities for the client to achieve greater success

  • Works closely with the client and internal teams to identify organic growth opportunities

  • Successfully creates drafts of decks for programs, media strategies, POVs, etc. for review and input from senior team members

New Business

  • Looks for ways to identify, develop and grow integrated business (social media/digital, content)

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or a related field or equivalent experience is required

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in a professional environment within the public relations, communications, and / or advertising industries

  • Must have healthcare PR experience; integrated experience preferred

  • Thorough understanding of the ever-changing digital landscape

  • Exceptional project management skills; demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, prioritize and manage detailed budgets

  • Excellent business communication skills

  • Informal/formal presentation and writing skills; including presenting to clients

  • Skilled in data communication

  • Can explain complex technical terms, clinical trials, and studies pertaining to the brand

  • Able to develop final documents and presentations and guide strategy for junior staff

  • Able to communicate critical information to management and the client

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong and productive client relationships

  • Able to develop solutions to client needs and problems:

  • Collaborates with internal partners to strategize ideas

  • Researches the market to identify trends and data to support ideas

  • Understands program objectives and strategies

  • Ability to direct and synthesize research for new business

  • Have a professional presence, perform with a sense of urgency and with a profound client service orientation

  • High energy, able to effectively operate in fast-paced, growing and evolving environment

The position may require some domestic travel for client meetings and conferences (10 percent).

A typical day will include: POSITION OBJECTIVES: * Serves as global statistical expert for major development programs, leading and managing a team of statisticians * Oversees all statistics activities for one major clinical program or multiple clinical programs to ensure timely and accurate delivery of statistical designs, analyses, reports and regulatory submissions. * Independently provides strategic and expert statistical input to drug development including feasibility assessments, development plans, complex study designs, cross-study analyses including statistical methodology, interpretations, regulatory submissions and follow up. * Establishes and drives therapeutic area(s) program functional strategy for resourcing, processes and standards to maximize efficiency and global data integratability. * Participates in functional and cross functional initiatives including process and quality improvements POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES: * Serve as global statistical lead for assigned therapeutic areas or phase of development or CMC/non-clinical activities. * Lead and manage team of statisticians supporting cross region studies and programs for identified therapeutic area(s) or phase of development or CMC/non-clinical activities; manages assignments and priorities of team members. * Develop and mentor staff by utilizing appropriate internal and external resources to achieve short term and long term strategic functional goals. * Promote innovative clinical trial designs and efficient analysis methodologies * Play a leadership role in development and completion of major statistics deliverables and milestones in collaboration with other functions. * Drive/participate in development and implementation of global systems, processes and standards to maximize quality and efficiency. * Leverage standardized analysis methods and reporting standards to maximize global data integratability; identifies best practice for utilization across programs. * Provide statistical leadership and support for regulatory meetings, submissions and follow up. * Provide or identify internal and external statistical expertise and capacity to support development activities. * Collaborate/lead in the development of compound/program-level sourcing/vendor strategies and provide oversight of statistical services, ensuring overall quality. * Assess, communicate and propose solutions for internal, external resource and/or quality issues that may impact deliverables/timeline at the program level. * Provide input for planning and management of external budgets related to statistical deliverables. * Participate/Leads in external professional initiatives and organizations such as ASA, PhRMA, DIA, etc. to identify industry best practice and its applicability in Takeda. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS: * PhD in statistics or biostatistics with at least 7 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience or MS in statistics or biostatistics with at least 10 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience * Experience with at least two NDA/CTDs or other regulatory submissions. * Experience representing Statistics function in interactions with regulatory agencies. * Advanced knowledge of clinical study designs, analysis methodology and data interpretation. * Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical industry, overall drug development process with expertise in the cross-functional interfaces with the Statistics function. * Advanced knowledge of FDA and ICH regulations and industry standards applicable to the design, analysis of clinical trials and regulatory submissions. * Strong statistical programming skills * Excellent oral and written communications skills. * Specialized statistical expertise in multiple therapeutic areas or development phases. * Strong inter-personal and people management skills. * Strong project management skills. * Strong collaborative skills and ability to work with a cross-functional team. * Ability to influence others, without direct hierarchical authority, and affect change across organizational boundaries.
