About Your Business Area/Department:

The mission of DevOps & Platform Enablement organization is to provide transversal services to various development teams and organizations in the Airport & Airline Operations products.

Our goal is to enable our development teams to develop and implement new products and new functionalities in an efficient and autonomous way.

Therefore, we are ensuring that the platform at the base of our products can be consumed in a secure, stable and resilient manner - with the least overhead to develop and meeting both performance requirements and financial constraints.

The key projects we are working on are the transparent migration of our services from an on-premises datacenter to the public cloud and the implementation of new customers.

Summary of the role:

Your responsibility is to lead & support a team of Service Reliability, DevOps & Platform Engineers responsible for taking care of specific working packages in our major projects (public cloud migration, major customer implementations).

Your team is responsible for supporting the run & evolution of our mission critical services in parallel with project execution. You will be accountable for stability, security and resiliency with a strong focus on platform & tooling components.

In this role you'll:

You will take care of all people management activities for your team, focusing on evolving the skillset of your team by creating development plans per individual, coaching team members and assignment of tasks, work packages and roles. You are taking accountability for the delivery performance of your team.

You will be working closely together with our development teams and platform providers, striving to continuously improve the way we're working. Optimizing value streams end-to-end is part of your DNA.

You are an active player in a globally distributed organization and your strong communication skills enable you to coordinate with your colleagues, team and all involved stakeholders efficiently.

About the ideal candidate:

  • People leader with capability to work with technical leaders and technical experts from various areas (Development, SRE, DevOps, Platform).

  • Minimum 2-3 years people management experience.

  • Experience or strong aspirations to work in a globally distributed leadership team, with colleagues in other locations world-wide.

  • Experience in SRE, DevOps and/or Platform Engineering or as a Software Engineer.

  • Technical experience with tools from the CNCF landscape would be a plus.

  • Experience with at least one public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) would be a plus.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies would be a plus.
