The Associate Director of User Experience requires somebody who has hands-on

experience in the digital space with strong knowledge of all emerging trends, technologies, and UX best practice. We are looking for a dynamic individual that could provide knowledge to and guide a broader team-UX, Planning, Account, Creative-on creating and selling in user-centric solutions. A keenly developed aesthetic sense, a good strategic mind and an ability to communicate diplomatically to clients are necessary to drive our initiatives to success. Ideal candidate should also have a strong background on enterprise level UX process and experience from the initial conceptual stage through implementation.

the position:

  • Serve as a mentor for UX team members within the portfolio.

  • Accountable for the quality of all UX deliverables within his/her account.

  • While maintaining existing discipline and quality standards, lead and coach team

members to ensure all UX solutions will be delivered on time.

  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations to internal partners during project

scoping, estimation, and provide UX insight through the lens of user-centric design.

  • Being a critical thinker; Lead UX team to effectively translate business intentions into

actionable strategies as well as UX frameworks.

  • Identify and translate user needs into solutions based on both qualitative and

quantitative research findings along with industry best practice.

  • Lead and facilitate internal and client group meetings and brainstorm sessions to

ensure viable solutions will be identified.

  • Hands-on execution such as UX strategic frameworks, workflow diagrams, personas,

conceptual prototypes and developer-ready wireframes.

the personality:

  • 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise level and cross-platform UX strategy,

architecture and design.

  • Experience in project scoping, effort estimations with cross-functional team


  • Demonstration of the ability to manage multiple team projects simultaneously.

  • Demonstration of leading enterprise level UX initiatives.

  • Demonstration of strong verbal communication and presentation skill in front of

internal stakeholders as well as clients.

  • Demonstration of strong written communication skill in UX documentations from

strategic frameworks to conceptual design to executional wireframes.

  • Experience in organizing actionable UX requirements with justifiable rationales from high level business objectives with ambiguity.

  • Strong knowledge of UX process, best practices as well as UX research protocols.

  • Possess a strong trait of being a self-starter, who can work independently as well as being a team player, who can advocate and appreciate the beauty of collaboration.

  • Strong believer in implementing holistic UX solutions require strong strategic


  • Ability to manage fast-pace environment when occasion arises.

  • Able to travel occasionally for presentations and research.

  • Agency or consultant experience preferred but not required.

Each Agile team focuses on one of our programs: prospective member experience, member portal, Client Pharmacy, or the wellness program. The mission of the CDS is to enable an immersive, integrated care experience through digital tools and solutions that empower consumers to achieve their best health anytime, anywhere and enable our partners to provide holistic, personalized care.</p> <p>As a User Experience Researcher positioned within one of these experience teams, you will be responsible for developing digital research programs and processes as well as conducting user research. The results of your work will help designers better understand user goals, needs, behaviors, limitations, and preferences as well as provide rationale for design decisions.</p> <p>A firm understanding of user-centered design processes, usability testing, and user research methods are crucial for success.</p> <p>As the User Experience Researcher, you will:</p> <li> Establish research roadmaps, research objectives, proposals, methods, and processes</li> <li> Conduct and coordinate usability studies, surveys, and other design research</li> <li> Analyze research findings and report results</li> <li> Translate research findings into actionable design recommendations</li> <li> Lead numerous research efforts in collaboration with other internal teams and vendors</li> <li> Mine through existing data and research findings, distilling them into practical design recommendations and user insights</li> <li> Synthesize data and findings from multiple studies and sources into succinct reports and focused points of view that inspire and inform UX and other digital teams</li> <li> Advocate for and bring the voice of users into digital design solutions, informing and educating about what works and what doesn’t for Client users</li> <li> Develop user scenarios and prototype specifications to support research studies</li><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p>Role Essentials</p> <li> <strong>At least 5 years of experience as a User Experience Researcher</strong> </li> <li> Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Psychology, or similar field</li> <li> Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research tools and methods, including usability studies, interviews, site visits, surveys, user modeling, card sorting, etc.</li> <li> Demonstrated skill in planning and conducting usability studies for complex transactional user interfaces and interactions for web, mobile and cross channel experiences </li> <li> Demonstrated ability to collect and analyze study findings, present results, and make recommendations based on data</li> <li> Ability to understand and articulate the underlying causes for usability issues </li> <li> Ability to adapt existing processes and deliverables when necessary to meet project needs, improve efficiency and quality, and gain practical results with minimal cost and effort</li> <li> Passion for understanding users and their behaviors and cognitive processes</li> <li> Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously</li> <li> Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to make detailed information understandable</li> <p>Role Desirables</p> <li> At least 2 years of experience conducting research and usability studies for cross-channel, mobile/responsive web sites</li> <li> An advanced degree in Human Factors, Psychology, or similar field.
