Reporting to the National Oncology Account Director, you will play a crucial role in advancing AstraZeneca business priorities within the Oncology Business Unit.

Your role will involve understanding the strategic business and cross-portfolio priorities of AZ Oncology, assessing strategic opportunities within the geography and key accounts, and formulating strategies and plans. You will lead executive-level customer engagement with account leadership and access decision-makers, ensuring product formulary and EMR inclusion and appropriate treatment plan development. You will also enable product access and formulary/pathway placement in accounts/third-party pathways and MACs. This position will also assist with projects within the geography of satellite locations at the direction of the National Oncology Account Director.

The ADORA candidate must reside within the Nashville geography.

Key responsibilities:

  • Understand and apply knowledge of healthcare market dynamics and business drivers to account planning and management

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to assess strategic opportunities and formulate plans

  • Share market dynamics, account insights, and competitive intelligence internally

  • Lead oncology account planning and management activities across customer-facing and brand teams

  • Engage with account leadership and access decision-makers at the executive level

  • Communicate clinical and economic rationale for products and secure product formulary and treatment plan inclusion

  • Engage with appropriate resources to address account issues and challenges

  • Lead account collaboration opportunities to address customer and market requirements

  • Ensure contract execution and GPO contract pull-through in targeted accounts

  • Act as the point of contact for external groups and improve outreach opportunities

  • Enable product access and formulary/pathway placement within accounts and third-party pathways

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A valid driver's license and safe driving record (Company Car Provided)
  • 5+ years of experience in a pharma
  • 3+ years of experience in oncology sales

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Validated understanding of customer segments and regional market dynamics within oncology

  • Strong proficiency in critical thinking, project management, communication/presentation, and arbitration/influencing skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Oncology clinical science and fluency in translating clinical outcomes and health economic data

  • Strong financial management and business insight

  • Experience in sales leadership, field reimbursement, pharmacy leadership, medical leadership, or healthcare institution quality
