The Associate Director of China Graduate Programs reports to the Director of International Programs in the MBA and Specialized Masters Division and is responsible for collaborating with other Fox international program administrators on the management and delivery of masters and doctoral programs in China. The incumbent provides student and faculty services to program partners at Tsinghua University, the Beijing National Accounting Institute (BNAI), Renmin University and any future China programs to ensure an exceptional experience for students and faculty alike. The Associate Director oversees a wide range of student and faculty services and the operational management of masters and doctoral programs in China, which include Doctor of Science in Global Finance, Doctor in Business Administration, Master of Science in Accounting (MSA), Master of Science in Information Technology Auditing and Cyber Security, and Executive Master of Business Administration.
As the main point of contact for all China-program students, faculty and administrators, the incumbent will manage all communication platforms, including welcome sites, and will draft strategic messaging to students as needed for distribution through e-mail, list-servs and other communication platforms. The incumbent will be responsible for multiple projects that continuously enhance the student and faculty experience for China programs, including but not limited to responding to student questions, supporting the student registration & billing process, scheduling of academic courses, academic advising, facilitating the distribution of student surveys and faculty feedback forms, developing action plans for continuous improvement of the admissions process and student services based on student feedback, managing all current student and alumni events (including Residencies and Immersions), and collaborating with outside vendors to ensure contracts are effectively managed and services delivered. The Associate Director will liaise with the Dean's Office on all faculty appointments in China programs including providing all necessary documentation to guarantee timely generation of appointment letters and execution of teaching stipends where applicable. The incumbent will submit CVs for local faculty for assessment of AACSB qualifications; request TUIDs (GARS Access) for all local faculty; and interface regularly with the Senior Associate Director of Scheduling by inputting accurate scheduling data into the Fox Schedule Request System for all courses taking place in China prior to the start of the semester. The Associate Director will work with the Director of International programs to provide all pertinent tax documents to the Controller's office for all Temple Employees travelling to China to teach. The incumbent will be the principal liaison for student affairs, contract administration and program compliance with the administrative staff at partner universities.
The incumbent oversees and implements projects of an intra-University nature and is responsible for all work outcomes and initiatives related to China Programs. The position requires considerable interface with administrators in our international partner schools, research faculty, doctoral advisors, academic departments, and assistant/associate deans of the Fox School of Business. The Associate Director will be responsible for providing Banner, Cognos and other reports to program directors and school leadership. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and at least four years of directly related work experience, including work in higher education administration dealing with graduate program management, recruitment, admissions and/or student services like advising or career development. Experience working or studying abroad in China. Experience in contract and budget management. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Strong written and oral communication skills along with the ability to interact with a diverse group of students, faculty and staff.
Must speak fluent English and Chinese/Mandarin

Demonstrated ability to independently anticipate and identify problems, obstacles and opportunities and take decisive action to address them.
Ability to assess and interpret research/data reflecting industry trends that create demand for new programs or revisions to existing programs.
Ability to counsel and/or guide students and faculty on policy issues while being firm yet sensitive to individual needs/issues.
Demonstrated computer skills to include word processing, database, presentation and spreadsheet applications.
Strong organizational and time management skills along with the ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks with constant interruptions.
Ability to work evenings and weekends, as necessary.
Ability to travel locally to off-site locations that may not be accessible via public transportation.
Ability to travel internationally.
