Overview

The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct nursing care to the residents on the assigned floors. The Assisted Living Manager is responsible for supervising the CNAs and HHAs in the delivery of planned resident care. The Assisted Living Manager is responsible for maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, as well as direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering care on the unit.

Essential Functions

  • Provide direct and individualized nursing care to assigned residents based on established nursing protocol. Observe and assess for: pain/discomfort, oxygen therapy, all drainage, all dressings, and any incontinent elimination which may have occurred.

    Provide initial and on-going systematic assessment of the physical, emotional, social, educational, and functional needs of the resident/family through observation, interview, and physical examination. Interpret assessment data and information to assist in developing a plan of care which contains problem identification, nursing diagnosis, nursing orders, approaches and interventions. Assure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately and timely, and integrate the medical care plan into the provision of nursing care.

    Assure that medication administration is correct, according to the established nursing policies and procedures. Provide accurate and timely documentation consistent with the resident plan of care.

    Administer medication per physician orders.

    Document properly on MOR. Observe for any adverse reaction and notify physician accordingly. Assemble resident charts, resident records and assure that all necessary forms are completed in a timely manner.

    Assure that all monthly summaries are completed on a timely basis for assigned residents. Prepare incident/accident reports for residents as needed per policy, notify the AL Director, physician and family post incident/accident per policy and document accordingly. Assists residents in learning appropriate self-care activities.

    Supervision of all resident assignments to nursing team members, and assure that special instructions are given to team members. (Assignments should be made one day in advance where possible). Observation and supervision of all meals to ensure residents receive the proper diet and any assistance required and that all meals are charted accordingly. Monitor and organize all material resources necessary for meeting needs of assigned unit. Recognize emergencies and life-threatening situations and initiate appropriate action as reviewed by the facility/department.

    Ensure that resident call lights are promptly answered and their needs are addressed timely and appropriately. Assist with the orientation of new staff members. Ensure that all scheduled activities take place on assigned unit by utilizing activity personnel and/or nursing personnel.

    Adheres to established department guidelines and protocols. Supports the SLC Mission, vision and values. Maintains and protects confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care, as evidenced by professional conduct of self.

    Maintains a safe and healthy working environment and use safe work methods and procedures in accordance with company clinical standards. Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings. Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.

    Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers. Adheres to all policies and procedures of Senior Lifestyle Corporation. Performs other duties as assigned by the AL Director.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LPN/LVN or RN license, with a current and active LPN license in the state of this community facility.

    At least (1) one year of nursing experience in a health care facility. Proficient in clinical techniques, such as emergency procedures, skin management, hydration therapy, and other nursing procedures. Possess the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians and other nursing staff.

    Able to acquire continuing education credits necessary to maintain licensure and certification.

    Able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, hostile residents within the community. Able to acquire continuing education credits necessary to maintain licensure and certification.

Purpose & Scope: Ensure timely and accurate delivery of data to all internal and external customers for sales reporting and compensation purposes, including support and maintenance of the standardized reports and ad-hoc environments. Develop and leverage automated, standard quality control processes to improve the accuracy and efficiency of sales reporting processes and procedures. Serve as the primary point of contact for escalating and resolving data issues. Essential Job Responsibilities: * Process and validate sales data for sales reporting and incentive compensation for assigned products. * Develop data integrity controls to ensure variances/exceptions are communicated to M&S leadership. Automate controls for all reporting data feeds, ensure all exceptions to the business rules are investigated and resolved prior to data reporting and reporting timeline is met. * Document all recurring operational processes. Determine and maintain living document of all reports to validate. Develop, implement and communicate SOPs when necessary. * Responsible for data analysis, exchange and reporting for key therapeutic areas. Act as point of contact for third party vendors. * Produce ad hoc analyses for Commercial Operations, Sales, and Marketing teams as requested, communicate outcomes, and make recommendations based on findings. * Take lead on identifying potential data redundancies and data flow issues; provide recommendations on potential solutions and execute when necessary in order to streamline Data Governance processes. * Act as Data Governance lead for data sharing requests and Third Party Agreements, including working with syndicated data vendor(s) and data aggregator(s) prior to data being shared. Quantitative Dimensions: * Validate data for weekly sales reporting, and monthly and quarterly Incentive Compensation processes. Provide sign-off on data feeds on or before scheduled date and without errors. * Assist in the maintenance of current business rule applications, update when necessary and communicate to appropriate parties that utilize the data. Organizational Context: * Reports to Assistant Director, Data Governance. * This position requires close collaboration with internal cross functional departments within Commercial Operations, Sales, and Marketing.
