Assisted Living Licensed Practical Nurse- Charge Nurse

Job Summary Provide nursing care in accordance with facility and nursing service policy and procedure while collaboratively and efficiently establishing a workplace with attention to quality standards. Responsibilities Ensures quality resident care is consistently delivered in accordance with local, state and federal guidelines Partners with the assisted living manager on recruiting, hiring, new hire orientation, training and in-services for the Certified Medication Aids Supervision of CMAs who give direct resident care on the shift Collaborates and partners with physicians, pharmacy, and other medical professionals to promote quality care and independence for residents Conducts comprehensive resident pre-admission, admission, and quarterly assessments Collaborates with the Assisted Living Manager to provide on-call support for the community Ensures compliance, efficiency and team's understanding of policies and procedures Perform compliance rounds at least twice during a shift to ensure resident's needs are met Additional duties as assigned Qualifications Must be congenial to residents, residents' families and associates and respond in a professional manner Must be able to respond to an emergency in the assisted living setting Current Licensed Practical Nurse License in the state of Georgia Good standing with the board of nursing CPR certification Supervisory experience and experience in assisted living preferred Excellent technical assessment and documenting skills Quality Assurance/improvement and staff development experience Schedule:
