Overview of the Role

Engineering specialist role responsible for the technical delivery of application development projects within the retail branch ecosystem. The position is to support the integration of new hardware and application software within the Retail Branch environment along with the management of the branch development lab located in Irving. This is a key role in ensuring our retail branch operations staff remain productive and customers are served.

This role builds and leads teams of engineers who are responsible for the development of assisted channels services which span multiple businesses including cards/retail customer servicing, branch servicing, and automated telephony. The candidate will be technically proficient in supported technologies and be able to perform the work. Candidates must have excellent platform instincts and communication skills coupled with a passion for business, technology while delivering a world-class customer experience. Candidates should have strong data-driven analytical skills and be able to operate and thrive with partial information and ambiguity and have a track record of building successful teams.


  • Effectively and efficiently manage the daily operations of Branch Infrastructure Services and ensure that business service expectations are met. Ensure procedures and practices are aligned with appropriate industry best practices, company's policies and procedures. Provide support for new projects or services which support the goal of continuous service improvements by working with the Manager of Desktop Architecture and Application Support.

  • Coordinate with Vendors, Evaluate Client Server source code, patches and updates, build all scripts and msi's and complete Pre IST testing for client and server modules including validation of all hardware devices (i.e. scanners, desktops, pinpads, etc).

  • Create workstation, server and database deltas and coordinate full testing lifecycle on Citi. Includes Di2 packages, Convergence Packages, TPM conversion, enterprise package creation for Client/Server environment for Win7, Win10, and Server2012R2



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on application development work experience

  • Experience translating Business Requirements into Technical requirements

  • Strong background in managing Desktops, Servers, Packaging, Deployment & Patching with Security/Wintel background

  • Experience administering hardware peripherals including print servers

  • Experience in maintaining all Desktop/Server applications and automated processes

  • Knowledge and Administration of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or HPCA similar Deployment tools

  • Experience in Monitoring, troubleshooting, and proactively recommending upgrades, patches, applications, and equipment

  • Explore, Identify, Plan and Deployment of applications in Phased manner

  • Coordinating with Application & Infra owners / Security Team as liaison

  • Work closely with the Application teams to identify & Remediate EOL/EOVS equipment

  • Provide Testing support to Applications team

  • Thinks strategically and also stays on top of tactical execution

  • Self-starter with the ability to define goals and strategies with minimal management oversight


  • Windows 7/ 10 & Windows Server 2008/2012

  • Flexera Admin Studio / Install Shield or Similar Software

  • Creating software packages in SCCM or HPCA and Overall knowledge of administration

  • Windows troubleshooting

  • Project Management Skills

  • Scripting with PowerShell, VB script and batch files

  • Working knowledge of Citrix/VM Ware and other terminal/virtual environments.

  • Must have strong leadership and team management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as follow-up skills

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to prioritize
