This job will be an Assistant/Associate Director depending on the experience of the candidate.
Reporting to the Director of Development, the Assistant/Associate Director of Development will manage relationships to secure support from donors capable of making gifts of over $50,000.
This individual will manage a personal portfolio of 125 prospects and will be responsible for the development and implementation of a plan for major gift fundraising across the country. The role will partner with faculty and staff, both within the division and around the university, to promote the acquisition of major gifts.
This individual will also work closely with the Senior Director of Development, as well as the Annual Fund, Gift Planning, and Corporate and Foundations teams to ensure coordination. This individual must be able to work independently but also be a team player.
Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years (assistant director) or 5-7 years(associate director) development/fundraising experience in a university,hospital, or other non-profit or educational institution or comparable workexperience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Valid driver's license.
Microsoft Office suite and complex database experience.
Expect travel approximately 25%40% time.
Master's highly desirable.
Knowledge of planned giving vehicles.
CRFE or other professional certification is desirable.
