Position: Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, tenure-track position in Speech-Language Pathology

Qualifications: Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology or related field with a CCC-SLP.

The preferred candidate has experience and expertise in bilingual/ multicultural academic content and clinical practice, child, and school age language. Other areas of expertise will be considered.

Description of Position: Teach classes in child and school age language acquisition and disorders, literacy from a culturally and historically responsive perspective, bilingual language acquisition, bilingual, and multicultural foundations to practice as a speech-language pathologist.

Additional areas of expertise can be accommodated. Collaborate with program faculty to assure infusion of information about bilingualism and cultural and linguistic diversity and non-biased professional practice across the curriculum.

Qualifications: We are seeking a candidate with a Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field, preferably eligible for NY State and CCC-SLP certification.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise and experience in one or more of the following areas: speech science, voice disorders, or swallowing disorders. While a strong background in speech science, voice disorders, or dysphagia is desirable, candidates with an interest in addressing these domains from a social justice perspective and/or exploring the impact of social determinants of healthcare will be particularly well-suited for this position and will find an excellent fit within the program. Description of Position:

The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching classes in voice disorders, dysphagia, and speech science. They will also conduct research in their field of expertise, with a focus on addressing social determinants of healthcare and incorporating social justice perspectives.

Additionally, the candidate will mentor master's students in their research engagement and provide guidance to support their academic and research growth. Furthermore, the candidate will actively contribute to the department's mission and goals through service to the department, college, university, and the broader community. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both the academic and research aspects of the program while fostering a commitment to social justice in the field of speech-language pathology.
