Northwestern State University College of Nursing and School of Allied Health seeks an applicant for a 12-month full-time faculty position for the Associate/Bachelor of Science degree programs in nursing available in Alexandria, Louisiana beginning immediately.

A Master's in nursing is required, however, a Doctorate is preferred (required for academic rank of Associate Professor) and eligible for membership in undergraduate and graduate faculty. Unencumbered licensure status as an RN or APRN in the state of Louisiana; or eligible for Louisiana licensure. At least three (3) years of clinical nursing experience. At least three (3) years of nurse educator experience; three (3) or more preferred. Must be able to pass a background check and shall meet the required standards defined by the University.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's in nursing required, doctorate preferred (required for academic rank of Associate Professor).

• Eligible for membership on undergraduate and/or graduate faculty.

• Unencumbered licensure status as an RN or APRN in the state of Louisiana; or eligible for Louisiana licensure.

• At least three (3) years of clinical nursing experience.

• At least three (3) years of nurse educator experience; three (3) or more preferred.

• Able to establish positive relationships with colleagues and students.

• Shall be proficient or capable of becoming proficient in curriculum development, instruction, evaluation, and academic counseling.

• Able to pass a background check.

• Shall meet the required standards defined by the University.
