Job Summary:

The School of Physical Therapy in the Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions at Regis University invites applications for a 12-month faculty appointment at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. Responsibilities include teaching in assigned areas of expertise, scholarship, student advising, and service at all levels of the University and in the community.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

The School of Physical Therapy offers an entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, a residency in Orthopedic Physical Therapy, a fellowship program in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy, an undergraduate degree in Health & Exercise Science, and a collaborative partnership Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) program with Creighton University. The integrated DPT curriculum incorporates the study of movement in a systems approach across the lifespan. Faculty members teach in areas of content expertise, actively pursue scholarship, service, and clinical practice. The breadth and depth of our experienced faculty allows for the promotion of inclusive and innovative teaching pedagogy, as well as engagement in our profession and local and global communities. Interprofessional collaboration in teaching, scholarship and service is highly valued and encouraged. This position will involve teaching in the DPT program and, depending on background, in the undergraduate Health & Exercise Science program.

Qualified candidates must have:

  • An academic doctoral degree

  • A minimum of 5 years teaching experience in physical therapy

  • Evidence of scholarship dissemination (peer-reviewed publication or presentation)

  • License or licensure-eligible to practice as a physical therapist in Colorado

  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive practices in teaching, scholarship, and service

Preference will be given to candidates:

  • Currently at rank of assistant or associate professor

  • With expertise in any of the following areas: human/exercise physiology, fiscal management of physical therapist practice, health policy, and/or diagnostic imaging

$90,000 to $110,000 commensurate with qualifications
