The Department of Economics at Denison University invites applications for an open-rank tenure-track position in the field of Financial Economics starting August 2024. Strong candidates will demonstrate a commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level and an appreciation of the interdisciplinary nature of a small residential liberal arts institution, as well as a clear and active research agenda in the field of financial economics.

Primary teaching responsibilities will include Financial Economics I and Financial Economics II; courses in introductory and intermediate theory and/or mathematical methods for economics, depending on area of expertise; and additional elective courses related to the candidate's field of specialization. The teaching load for this position is 5 courses per academic year.

The Department of Economics at Denison has fourteen full-time faculty members who appreciate diverse approaches to economics. Additionally, Denison faculty are expected to maintain an active research agenda that results in scholarly publications in order to gain tenure. Candidates with exceptional records in the areas of teaching, scholarship, and service may be considered for appointment at the advanced level.
