Job Summary/Basic Functions
The College of Agriculture provides programs and services to improve the educational and socio-economic well-being of students, families, and communities-focusing on excellence through integrated instruction, research and extension programs.
The Department of Family and Consumer Sciences' (Human Ecology's) programs and functions support the University's mission by welcoming and extending department resources to all who strive for academic excellence, whatever their national, racial, ethnic or religious affiliation. The Department, in conjunction with the University, is ultimately dedicated to the promotion of knowledgeable, perceptive, and humane citizens secure in their self-awareness, equipped for personal fulfillment, sensitive to the needs of others, and committed to assuming productive roles in a challenging and ever-changing global society. Department programs and courses provide particular support for the University's mission and principles concerned with the advancement of scholarship in the disciplines of College of Agriculture to better serve its clients through the enhancement and efficiency of the Family and Consumer Sciences Program.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Studies, and/or Human Development. A graduate degree in any of these fields is mandatory alongside a Ph.D. in Family and Consumer Sciences, Family Studies, Family Science, Human
Development, or closely related fields, conferred by an accredited institution prior to the date of hire. ABD candidates will be considered.*
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities and/or Competencies Required:
Knowledge of a subject/field including current developments in a teaching discipline housed in the department.
Abilities:
To develop effective curriculum materials;
Organize and effectively present course work;
Elicit student interest;
Contribute generally to student academic progress in a significant way.
Skills:
Manage and organize the classroom environment;
Develop and implement assessment activities.
