Assistant/Associate/ Full Professor, Veterinary Pathology

The College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) at Long Island University (LIU) in Brookville, New York invites applications from self-directed, motivated individuals to join the LIU Veterinary Pathology team. The position may be filled at a full-time tenure-track Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level.

The Assistant/ Associate/ Full Professor will:

• participate actively in the professional (DVM) and graduate academic programs (MS, PhD) of the College of Veterinary Medicine,
• teach veterinary pathology courses (General and Systemic Pathology), and participate in the delivery of Veterinary Histology, and Principles of Research courses,
• participate in the delivery of a morphologic pathology core clinical year clerkship,
• participate in the delivery of integration courses that link morphology, cellular and molecular foundations to conditions commonly encountered in the practice of veterinary medicine,
• develop and maintain an internationally recognized extramurally funded research program,
• seek collaborations to enhance scholarly activities,
• participate in diagnostic services activities offered to affiliated clinics,
• provide University and public service through committee work,
• engage with agencies, industry, NGOs and communities in addition to professional organizations,
• possess communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with an increasingly diverse array of students and colleagues.
