Franklin & Marshall College is recruiting for a full-time Assistant/Associate Director of Regional Admission. Two positions available (title and salary is based on years of experience).

Job Details:

  • Location: These are remote positions, regionally based in the Washington, D.C. metro areas and the other located in Texas/Southeast U.S region.

  • Classification: Full-time / Exempt

  • Schedule: 40 hours, Monday - Friday. Some evenings and weekend work required.

  • Reports to: Director of Recruitment

  • Department: Enrollment Management

Job Description:

The Assistant Director of Regional Admission serves as Franklin & Marshall College's primary representative in in a designated territory. The Assistant Director is also responsible for the evaluation and selection of students for the first-year class. Being regionally based, the Assistant Director serves as the College's primary admission presence in this territory and internationally as needed. This position must be able to work well both independently and in a hybrid setting across various time zones. If hired at the Associate Director level, also responsible for the development and administration of a recruitment plan in a designated territory.

Essential Functions:

  • Extensive travel required to represent Franklin & Marshall College, its academic programs, and co-curricular offerings to prospective students, families, secondary school counselors, community-based organizations, and other constituents.

  • Participation in recruitment events including: high school visits, college fairs, visits to community-based organizations, admitted student receptions, information sessions, regional interviews, panels, workshops, and other presentations.

  • Collaborate with Admission staff in strategic planning and data analysis for assigned territories and recruitment events to meet divisional, and institutional, goals.

  • Develop and oversee regional recruitment programs and special projects including developing new skills, overseeing recruitment efforts and special projects.

  • Collaborate closely with the Office of Financial Aid, Athletics & Recreation, Alumni Relations and other campus partners to coordinate recruitment and engagement initiatives.

  • Counsel prospective students, families, secondary school counselors, and other constituents throughout the entire recruitment cycle. This includes admission, financial aid, academic programs, co-curricular programs, and other aspects of the F&M and college search experiences.

  • Serve on project teams and complete administrative projects as assigned, and travel to Lancaster, PA as needed for training and regular collaboration with constituents on campus.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • At least 1 year of experience with regional recruiting at the professional level (4+ years of experience to be considered at the Associate Director level).

  • Because this position requires driving for college business, the successful candidate must possess a U.S. or Canadian driver's license which has been valid for at least two years, have a driving record that is free from excessive motor vehicle violations within the last three years, and have had no convictions in the last 24 months for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  • Ability and willingness to provide excellent service and to work in a collegial manner with students, faculty and staff, and other constituencies is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of higher education experience.

  • Prior customer service or sales experience.

Additional Information:
