This purpose of the Assistant YouTube Manager is to ensure Church-managed YouTube accounts and content aligns with channel strategy and best practices. This position ensures that Church YouTube channels are strategically aligned with the Church's mission to invite all to come to Christ, while also aligning with YouTube best practices.

  • Required: Bachelors' degree required in business, marketing, communications, or related disciplines.

  • 1-2 years of related experience with demonstrated in-depth knowledge and ability to solve complex problems. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Good analytical skills, excellent communication, and presentation skills. Success advocating change with teams and customers.

  • Consistently able to meet or exceed assigned targets/deadlines.

  • To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for engaging with staff and other stakeholders.

  • A deep understanding of the Church's teachings and values to ensure alignment with its mission is important.

  • Candidates should have the ability to adapt to new technologies and trends in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

The Assistant YouTube Manager for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has a variety of responsibilities that support the Church's mission and messaging through the YouTube platform. Including: Collaborating with the social media team to develop and implement strategies that align with the Church's goals and values; analyzing trends and performance metrics to optimize content for increased engagement and reach; managing the day-to-day operations of some of the Church's YouTube channels; working closely with Church staff and departments to feature a variety of voices and perspectives; providing training and guidance to volunteers or staff involved in YouTube content creation; staying updated on the latest YouTube features and best practices to continually improve the Church's channel; offer insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis.
