This position will focus on managing warehouse staff and materials life cycle to support the station operation, regulatory and company guidelines where safety is a top priority.
The Assistant Manager will assume the Warehouse Manager's responsibilities as assigned and or in the absence of the Warehouse Manager.
Key Areas of responsibilities:
Ensuring all Company policies, processes, procedures, CFR's hazardous material regulations, Department of Transportation regulations, and local regulatory agency policies.
Ensures proper material handling, shipping, and receiving of materials
Maintains the integrity of the PMI inventory system through supervision of physical inventories and coordinating corrective actions with the Warehouse Manager, Inventory Control, and or other departments as needed.
Manages workflow efficiency at the Warehouse
Assist Manager with OJT training
Maintain, practice, and advocate safety and good housekeeping
Ensure team members are engaged in the operation, and communicate issues and or correspondence in a timely manner to internal and or external parties.
Offer feedback and recommend action plans to employees in a professional and constructive manner.
Work closely with the Warehouse Manager on planning and executing assigned projects
Work closely with the Warehouse Manager on improvement initiatives that will have a direct and positive impact on Warehouse operation and the Company.
Strive to improve communication in a cross-functional environment
Monitor staff attendance and shifts coverage in support of the operation and provide feedback to Stores manager as needed
