The AVP Market Leader/Planning Design and Construction is responsible for building partner's relationships, providing multi-disciplinary leadership for the assigned market(s), and managing cross-functional communication. Demonstrates the market strategy anticipating future consequences and trends and incorporates them into the organizational plan. Oversees operating budget creation and execution; optimizing resources and return on investment while creating business value.
Acts as a primary point of contact with the partner's management team to ensure that the partner is served in a consistent, effective and efficient manner.
Leads a team of facilities professionals that serve the Facility Partner's senior and executive leadership to define and manage facility and corporate service needs.
Develops and manages Facilities Management Group (FMG) budgets and is accountable for FMG financial performance to the partner. Consistently seek, suggest and document cost control ideas and process improvements. Work closely with partner's management team to forecast upcoming project needs during budget cycles.
Demonstrates expertise in realigning staff and other resources to respond to service demands without compromising the overall operational effectiveness of the services provided.
Identifies short, medium, and long-term real estate needs and coordinates the FMG resources necessary to meet those needs.
Manages the development and maintenance of relationships with internal and business partners, and identifies business needs, service requirements, key issues, alternative solutions and resources for the clients and business partners.
Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing and pulling. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds shoulder high.
Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch and finger dexterity. Critical thinking and ability to concentrate for long periods of time. Must be able to respond quickly and appropriately in stressful situations.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university required. Masters degree preferred.
Market Leader: Ten years of Management experience required. Superior relationship management skills; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across all leadership levels.
Excellent ability to collaborate with others, work independently or as part of a team, initiate action, adapt to change, make difficult decisions, solve problems and accept challenging assignments. Proven leadership skills including leading people, driving change and innovation, creating and sustaining partnerships and focusing on results. Creativity, critical thinking skills, high energy, disciplined organizational skills and a corporate entrepreneurial spirit are necessary. Knowledge of Operational Excellence principles such as LEAN/Six Sigma; capable of visualizing the linkages between component parts of the whole and connecting the dots that lead to the desired outcome.
