Overview

Gallagher Re is seeking an ambitious, analytical broking talent with a minimum of 3 years' experience in reinsurance broking to join our Minneapolis office. Gallagher Re has grown significantly in the past few years and is looking for dynamic brokers to join the team to help expand and deliver best in class support to our growing roster of MPL accounts. This is a client-facing role in a team environment that involves new business production, product development and servicing of existing clients.

How you'll make an impact

• Act as a key member of the Medical Professional Liability and Regional Casualty broking team partnering with actuaries and cat modelers to analyze insurance risks on a portfolio level to advise clients on reinsurance treaty structures to mitigate downside risk and improve capital efficiency.

• Prepare, transmit, market, and complete reinsurance placements.

• Assist with Prospect preparation, including setting up and attending prospect meetings in partnership with Senior staff

• Ensure company, market and client related documentation is issued (internally and externally) accurately and on time.

• Coordinate internal resources, such as analytics, contracts and client services to provide solutions to clients.

• Meet with senior managers of client companies to present materials.

• Be a thought Leader: Conduct research on industry topics and develop content to be shared with Clients and Prospects, published in journals and/or presented at conferences and tradeshows.

• Be an active member of the MPL Broking team and participate in the development of our global production strategy

• Align with external and internal regulatory and statutory policies, procedures and regulations.

• While this job does not have an official supervisory function, you will be expected to assist in the training and development of graduate trainees and other junior talent.

About You

• Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university.

• 3 years of work experience in Casualty insurance, reinsurance or consulting.

• Experience giving presentations to clients and internal groups.

• Comprehension of:

• Core client services practices and procedures

• Contracts practices and procedures

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

• Solid ability to communicate in written and verbal form with clients, prospects, and reinsurers

• Skill to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
