Assistant Vice President of Developmental & Cognitive Services

We are seeking for an Assistant Vice President for our Developmental & Cognitive Services Division!

In this vital role, the Assistant Vice President of DCS manages and directs the operational aspects of the division.

The Assistant Vice President will:

  • provide administrative oversight and supervision to the Program Directors to ensure high quality of services that are consistent with QUEST principles, DDS regulations, SHIP policies and procedures, and Riverside's policies and procedures
  • provide leadership within the DCS division through orientation, training, consultation, quality management and program development
  • establish and implement practice standards that are consistent with the person-centered planning model and by maintaining focus on the provision of high quality, progressive services that are responsive to the needs of the community
  • participate as a member of Riverside's Senior Management Team
  • represent the organization and division mission, services and programs in forums internal and external to the agency, to best meet individual, program, division and agency goals

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to organize, delegate, and motivate others, as well as to promote cohesiveness in a team environment

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills (in the English language)

  • Ability to make effective public presentations

  • Demonstrated skills in training and leadership of program staff

  • Demonstrated high-level skills in treatment of individuals with developmental disabilities and brain injuries

  • Basic computer fluency, including Microsoft Office

  • Valid driver's license and regular access to reliable transportation

  • Flexible schedule required for occasional evening and weekend hours/Must be able to work in excess of 40 hours per week, provide 24-hour on-call coverage on rotation, and to respond to emergency calls as necessary.

Required Experience

  • Master's degree in a related field required.

  • 7 years related experience including at least 5 years in a supervisory and management capacity

  • At least 2 years of field experience in residential services
