The Assistant Vice Chancellor for Technology Transfer and Economic Development is the leader of the Office of Technology Transfer and Economic Development and reports to the Vice Chancellor of the Division of Research & Economic Development (DORED). The primary purpose of the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Technology Transfer and Economic Development position is to provide increase the Universitys intellectual property and commercialization portfolio. Other responsibilities include leadership in the daily operations of DORED and other responsibilities as assigned by the Vice Chancellor for Research and Economic Development.
Responsibilities also include serving as the DORED representative on key university initiatives and committees as well as representing the university on regional and national economic development organizations. Master's degree and at least 10 years experience in intellectual property protection, technology transfer, research commercialization, and economic development.
