Assistant Varsity Field Hockey Coach

Rye Country Day School is seeking a Assistant Varsity Field Hockey Coach beginning August 19, 2024. Rye Country Day School is a coeducational, Prek-12, college preparatory school located in Westchester County, New York dedicated to providing students with an excellent education using both traditional and innovative approaches. Specific responsibilities of the position include:

• Assistant Varsity Field Assistant Coach
• Coaching from August 19th 2024 - November 14, 2024
• Assisting with coaching duties including player development practice planning and team strategy analysis
• Supervision of players
• Collaborative work with Athletic Department colleagues, Upper School and Middle School faculty and staff, and the broader school community.
• Assisting with film breakdown, scouting and general game day preparations
• Planning, promoting and conducting camps and clinics
• Performing other related duties as assigned by the Varsity Field Hockey Coach or the Athletics Administration

Desired qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-years successful experience with adolescence in this age group
• A passion for athletic competition and the ability to motivate and inspire athletes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive school community
• Energetic and enthusiastic, flexible and patient
