Assistant Unit Director 14 West Tower Oncology

You might be the perfect candidate for the Assistant Unit Director 14 W Tower Oncology Unit.

Position Highlights:

  • Provide supportive leadership to a 32 bed unit which provides multidisciplinary team focus to manage complex medical and surgical oncology patient populations.

  • Populations served include gyne/oncology, urology, gynecology, and medical oncology

Position Responsibilities:

  • The Assistant Unit Director serves as the clinical liaison and assistant business manager for the Oncology Unit.

  • Accountability for nursing practice as a key member of the leadership team.

  • Serves as the Unit Director ( UD) designee in the absence of UD

  • Implements initiatives in support of the unit vision, while managing human, operational and organizational systems that support patient care.

Position Qualifications Include:

  • Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure required.

  • Earned nursing degree at the baccalaureate level or higher.

  • National certification required within 12 months of hire.

  • Consistent proficient performance at the RN 2 level or equivalent experience.

  • Demonstrated progressive, proficient management and leadership skills

Position Highlights: * The Nursing Assistant (NA II, III) performs a variety of clinical and environmental tasks under the direction of the Registered Nurse. * The NA II & III duties are of a technical nature requiring specialized training and skill. * The training and skill level of the NA II is commensurate with their advancement through an accredited school of nursing. * The NA II is registered in an accredited school of nursing. Position Responsibilities: * Reports to charge RN or designate for assignment of duties. * Maintains a safe patient environment. * Under the direction of the RN, participates in the implementation of individualized plans of care. * Assists patients in activities of daily living. * Performs routine procedures, treatments and specimen collections. * Promptly reports changes in patient condition to the appropriate RN. * Assists with admission, discharges and transport of patients.
