Compensation:

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I (TA): $65,954 - $78,079

Assistant Transit Management Analyst II (TA): $76,577 - $85,288

Associate Transit Management Analyst (TA): $86,565 - $112,083

Responsibilities:

Selected candidate will be responsible in assisting the Assistant Chief Track Officer for Track Third Rail Operations/Track Cleaning as well as Vac Train Operations. Responsible for preparing memos on the behalf of the Assistant Chief Track Officer. The selected candidate will also generate reports and maintain records as requested, while arranging, organizing and planning meetings when required. Will be responsible for TRO drawing/mapping support which includes the preparation of complex print revisions, receiving print updates, as well as the storage of all original drawings. The selected candidate will gather and evaluate pertinent data, process reports, prepare summaries using queries, charts and graphs.

Education and Experience:

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I & Assistant Transit Management Analyst II:

  • A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and at least one year of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports; or
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and two years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above.

Associate Transit Management Analyst:

  • A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and three years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above. One year of this experience must have been in the transportation industry.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong writing, research and interpretation skills.

  • Ability to function independently with limited work direction.

  • Advance proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to facilitate colleagues to solve client support problems.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.

Selection Method:

Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.

All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
