Job Summary
The Assistant to the Provost for Finance and Space Utilization provides support for the smooth fiscal operation of the division. The individual holding this position conducts analysis of budget expenditures, tracks expenditures, provides reports for the Provost and others in the division, and supports space analysis, facilities project work, and work-order processes. The Assistant to the Provost will collaborate with the Provost, Academic Deans, and others to ensure that funding is available for faculty hiring. Additionally, the Assistant will provide support for program planning, including study abroad/away experiences, and the ITF allocation process.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related business field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in an accounting or finance related position.
Experience establishing and maintaining budgets, performing detailed financial analyses, and reporting.
Experience in project management and project accounting.
Proficiency in MS Office products with a strong emphasis on Excel.
Knowledge of accounting software/programs (SAP preferred).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in accounting/finance or related business field.
Evidence of successfully providing assistance to others in budget analysis.
Experience with strategic financial planning.
Experience working in higher education.
Experience with campus space utilization management
Cultural competency as it relates to working with diverse populations.

The starting salary range for this position is $62,773 to $72,000 commensurate with experience and skills.
