Assistant to the City Administrator (Full-Time)
The City of Glendale, Wisconsin (population (13,157) is located in Milwaukee County's North Shore, 10 minutes from downtown Milwaukee. The City is seeking a responsible, individual to become part of the City's leadership team to perform management and analytical tasks for various department of the city, including community development, planning, finance, public works, administration, utilities, police, and parks.
The position will be responsible for a variety of work, including coordinating and overseeing the City's land use processes, preparing reports and memorandums on zoning modifications, planned developments and other planning and zoning items, managing the City's floodplain and floodway processes, including calculations on permitted improvements and grant management, researching and managing grant applications, compiling and preparing periodic reports on finance, building, public works, police, and service request and coordinating with other municipal departmental staff on the implementation and delivery of the City's goals and priorities. The City desires a self-motivated individual, capable of working effectively in a variety of team environments.
The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $94,500. Starting salary dependent on qualifications within the salary range.

Two to five years of senior public sector management experience in a city, county, or other applicable public sector agency of similar or greater complexity and size. This position requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public administration or a closely related field. A master's degree in public administration or business management is preferred.
