Assistant Teaching Professor Nursing

Park University's Ellen Finley Earhart Department of Nursing's growing nursing program invites applications for a full-time faculty, non-tenure track position within the pre-licensure BSN program. The pre-licensure BSN program is a traditional program operating the fall and spring semesters and is accredited through the Missouri Board of Nursing and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The faculty member will report to the Nursing Department Chair. The qualified candidate will be responsible for teaching, scholarship, and service at our Parkville campus. All nursing faculty are responsible for providing high quality leadership and commitment, as well as modeling collaboration, teamwork, inclusion, integrity, and self-care.

Position Accountabilities:

• Demonstrate a record of teaching effectiveness through such means as course revision response to student feedback/assessment.

• Engage in departmental efforts to promote quality teaching.

• Maintains and grows in regards professional and technical knowledge in regards to teaching, assessment/evaluation, curriculum, and any content expertise.

• Maintains American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics and professional standards of practice, including licensure, health requirements, and certification as required.

• Actively participates in committees at department, college, and university level.

• Contribute to the accreditation process and assess and continually improve the department's curricular and co-curricular offerings.

• Engage in activities external to the university in support of the nursing profession and surrounding community.

Position Requirements:

• Master's degree required, Doctorate or PhD preferred

• Eligibility for RN licensure in Missouri or hold an unencumbered Missouri Registered Nursing License

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a registered nurse

• Preferred 2+ years of experience teaching nurses at the baccalaureate level in didactic courses
