As an Assistant Teacher, you'll:

  • Follow all licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child.

  • Help maintain a fun, interactive classroom that is clean and organized.

  • Develop your ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan for children, as well as effectively communicate with families.

  • Complete extensive training on child care and child development topics.

We want energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who are at least 18 and have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience

  • The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children

What You Will Do: As a Certified Nursing Assistant at St. Joseph Place, you'll join a team of professionals dedicated to person-centered, compassionate care. As a valued member of our care team, you will provide patient/resident care as required under the direct supervision of the licensed nurse. Completing assigned tasks to ensure timely, efficient and safe patient/resident care, while communicating and interacting with patients, residents, families and other health team members is an essential component of this position. Key Responsibilities * Perform initial and ongoing data collection on all patients/residents under the direction of the RN or LPN * Implement plan of care developed by the RN based on patient/resident physical, psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs * Provide direct patient/resident care and reports condition and changes to RN or LPN * Assure resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective action as appropriate. * Document results of patient/resident care within established policies, procedures and scope of practice * Complies with all ministry policies and procedures * Other duties as assigned What You Will Need: Required Credentials * Certified Nurse Aide in Kansas * High school diploma or GED Preferred Education/Experience * BLS certification * Previous hospital or long-term care experience At Ascension Living, we are always learning things from our senior living communities, hospitals, and caregivers all over the country.
