Job Title: Assistant Swim Coach (Year-Round)
Branch: Upper Main Line YMCA
Pay Class: Part Time
Shifts/Availability: Varies/Weekends and Weekdays
Rate: $13.00-$15.00
About the YMCA of Greater Brandywine: The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all.
Position Purpose: The Upper Main Line YMCA is looking for a Swim Coach to deliver a high-quality, safe and competitive swim team program for all swimming levels.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership for Swim Team program, activities, practices and swim meets as assigned by the Head Swim Coach
Deliver and instruct practices and team activities as per the swim team goals
Organize and manage swimmers at swim meets/events
Assist with evaluations, specialty clinics, meets and practices as necessary
Actively promote YMCA Character Development and Core Values
Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or GED required
Competitive swimming experience for a minimum of 1 or more years required
Ability to demonstrate all strokes
Any additional certifications as required by the YMCA and/or USA Swimming
Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs
