Job Title: Assistant Swim Coach (Year-Round)

Branch: Upper Main Line YMCA

Pay Class: Part Time

Shifts/Availability: Varies/Weekends and Weekdays

Rate:  $13.00-$15.00

About the YMCA of Greater Brandywine: The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all.

Position Purpose:  The Upper Main Line YMCA is looking for a Swim Coach to deliver a high-quality, safe and competitive swim team program for all swimming levels.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership for Swim Team program, activities, practices and swim meets as assigned by the Head Swim Coach

• Deliver and instruct practices and team activities as per the swim team goals

• Organize and manage swimmers at swim meets/events

• Assist with evaluations, specialty clinics, meets and practices as necessary

• Actively promote YMCA Character Development and Core Values

• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• High school diploma or GED required

• Competitive swimming experience for a minimum of 1 or more years required

• Ability to demonstrate all strokes

• Any additional certifications as required by the YMCA and/or USA Swimming

• Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs
