Until Filled Openings: 1 Commitment: Full Time Description/Notes: JG Consulting has engaged with the Donna Independent School District (Donna ISD) to recruit qualified candidates to serve as the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources.

Donna ISD is seeking an executive-level leader who will be responsible for the overall management of the district's human resource function. Direct and manage district human resource activities to ensure legally sound and effective human resource management practices.

Lead the strategic planning and implementation of human resource programs to include professional and auxiliary staffing, wage, and salary administration, leave administration, performance appraisal, employee relations, employee training, employee recruitment, employee staffing, and benefits. Recommend and implement legally sound and effective human resource management programs, policies, and practices.


The city of Donna is located in the Rio Grande Valley of south Texas. Donna ISD serves approximately 14,500 students.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

Master's degree in human resources, education, organizational development, business, or public

administration; Doctorate preferred

EXPERIENCE:

Three years of progressively responsible district level experience in human resources management or an

equivalent amount of human resource management experience in the private/public sector

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:

Texas Teacher Evaluation & Support System (TTESS) certification; Texas Principal Evaluation & Support

System (TPESS) certification

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of the selection, training, and supervision of personnel

Knowledge of wage and salary, benefits, and performance appraisal administration

Knowledge of education employment law and hearing procedures

Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data

Ability to manage budget and personnel

Ability to perform data analysis
