Essential Job Functions Safety Must place the utmost importance on safety for TMG employees and subcontractors Reads, understands, applies and communicates TMG safety standards, per the Field Operations Playbook and Safety Policy Applies and enforces OSHA standards at all times, with no exceptions. Quality Control Document existing conditions on each floor prior to demolition Overall conditions Conditions of each tub and each water closet Any other items specified to remain or be reused Regularly photograph progress throughout construction in conjunction with project super Manage the floor-to-floor punch list process Walk with Architect and CM to develop the punch list on each floor Ensure that punch list items are completed Attend subcontractor pre-construction meetings Attend subcontractor pre-installation meetings Owner Furnished/Contractor Installed Items Place orders for and coordinate delivery of owner furnished/contractor installed items Receive and verify quantity and condition of owner furnished items Notify appropriate parties of missing or damaged items RFI's (Requests for Information) Communicate to office Project Engineer RFI's that need to be generated from information provided by subcontractors and/or TMG project team Review RFI responses with Project Super when posting in the field Submittals Work with office PE to ensure that copies of submittals in the field are current Schedule and document specific field coordination meetings that are required Materials Expediting and Tracking Review materials expediting and tracking log with project superintendent, office PE, and PM and provide input as related to job schedule Communicate with subs and suppliers regularly to ensure they are on schedule to meet required submittal, fabrication, and delivery dates Notify PM of any potential submittal, fabrication, or delivery issues that he is aware of Project Closeout Work with PM and project superintendent to assign punch list responsibilities and distribute to subcontractors and suppliers, and TMG project staff Work with Project Superintendent to ensure completion of punch list items Competencies Places utmost importance on safety and safety culture Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing Ability to function effectively in a support role Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills Good judgment, problem solving and analytical skills Ability to make logical decisions Ability to plan, organize, review and document wide range of project activities with good follow-through Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to manage deadline-driven workload Education/Experience Two plus years of experience in field operations on a large commercial construction project including multifamily, wood-frame projects. Must hold current OSHA-30 certification or be able to obtain within first 30 days Previous experience and knowledge of construction worksite safety practices and procedures Previous experience and knowledge of OSHA and other applicable federal, state and local safety regulations and standards PC proficiency in MS Office products, spreadsheet, and databases Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal, driving and drug screen Must possess a current and valid state driver's license and a clean driving record Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties the employee is regularly required to make use of close vision to read engineering blueprints and reduced size black and white drawings, specifications, fine print, reports, schedules, estimates, spreadsheets, summaries and other documents in either hard copy or computer monitor. Must be able to converse on the telephone and in person, use hands and fingers to write and type, prepare email messages with attached files, and use personal computers and calculators. While performing the duties of this job the employee may be exposed to conditions that include weather such as heat and/or humidity and cold, fumes or airborne particles, exposure to dust and asphalt, and moving mechanical parts.

There may be occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals. Conditions can also include risk of electrical shock and risk of vibration. The noise level in the work environment can often be loud.

The Assistant Superintendent is regularly required to: Walk, climb stairs, sit, stand, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction.

Talk and hear at normal levels. Reach with hands and arms. Use hands and fingers to operate tools and other business machines.

Lift and/or move up to seventy-five pounds. Work Environment The work environment described here is representative of those an employee encounters while performing the job. The employee works 85% outdoors in an uncontrolled environment.

Twenty percent will be indoors in an office job site trailer with a mix of natural, incandescent, and fluorescent light. The trailer may be air-conditioned and furnished with a personal computer, a desk or work surface and a chair. The trailer may be located within an active construction site where noise levels may be high.

The employee will be required to supervise and observe construction progress outdoors by walking and/or driving the site over rough or uneven terrain which may be dusty, muddy, wet, and noisy.
