Job Summary

CUHSD is looking for an experienced Assistant Superintendent of Business & support Services with strong collaborative leadership skills to help guide our district. Under the general direction of the Superintendent, serves as the Chief Business Official (CBO) and is responsible for directing and supervising various functions of the business division including Fiscal Services, Facilities, Operations, Child Nutrition, Transportation, Safety and Risk Management; and provides administrative and technical financial assistance to the Superintendent, Board of Trustees, site, and district office administrators, directors, and managers.

This position serves on the superintendent's cabinet, extended cabinet, leadership, and negotiations team. Guided by board policies, administrative regulations, and California education code, the selected candidate will be responsible for carrying out the District's fiscal operations and support services in support of the District's educational program while maintaining the District's fiscal solvency. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a major in business, public administration, or school administration • M.A. /M.S. degree, Ed.D. or Ph.D. preferred. • CBO Certification highly desirable.

Experience: • Five years of varied and responsible school business or administrative experience or equivalent management experience. • Consideration will be given to an alternate combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities that encompass the essential job functions. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, be collaborative, student-focused, innovative, and align with the District's core values of honesty, integrity, and respect. This is a 12-month position (221 days).
