Reports to: Store Manager, Market Manager, or Operations Manager

JOB SUMMARY: The Assistant Store Manager will assist the Store Manager in the daily operations, developing and leading a professional retail associate team to ensure achievement of operational goals and 100% customer satisfaction. The Assistant Store Manager is expected to work the opposite shifts of the Store Manger which is typically afternoon / evening shift as well as Sundays.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Trains store personnel by reviewing and revising orientation to new products

• Evaluates competition by visiting competing stores; gathering information such as style, quality and pricing of competitive merchandise.

• Purchases inventory by researching emerging products, anticipate buyer interest, negotiate volume price breaks; placing and expediting orders and verifying orders and receipts

• Attracts customers by originating displays following display suggestions from Store Manager negotiate price breaks and produce merchandise displays in windows, showcases and on sales floor

• Promotes sales by demonstrating merchandise and products to customers- Helps customers by providing information, answering questions, obtaining merchandise requests, completing payment transaction and prepare merchandise for sale

• Maintains a safe and clean store environment by developing and publishing evacuation routes, determine and document locations of potentially dangerous materials and chemicals

• Maintains inventory by checking merchandise to determine inventory levels and anticipate customer demand

• Helps maintain brand image to Corporate specs

• May serve as Store Manager when Store Manager is not on company ground

• May duplicate services as a cashier or as Kitchen help

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

Typical Hours and Work Days

• Will work the opposite schedule as the Store Manager with some overlap in the afternoons.

• Typical work days will include 5 - 6 days a week with Sundays included. An occasional Saturday shift may be required.
