As the Assistant Store Manager, Merchandising, you'll be responsible for one of the most important factors in driving our success: providing our customers with a world-class shopping experience by ensuring the sales floor for remains stocked, well-organized, and shoppable at all times. You'll lead the store team's merchandising activities including expediting merchandise flow, as well as managing floor moves, recovery, merchandise displays, and overall maintenance and organization of the sales floor and fitting rooms. You'll train, coach, and guide associates to ensure merchandising standards are continuously met.

Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management of store merchandising activities

  • Use sales reports to monitor store performance on a daily basis then provide feedback and recommendations to store manager and regional management team on opportunities for improvement based on comp shopping analysis, best-selling merchandise, stock levels, and customer requests.

  • Provide outstanding customer service and ensure store associates are delivering excellent customer service

  • Manage Selling Floor, Recovery, Sizing, Fitting Rooms, and all individual departments including Ladies, Men, Youth, Sportswear, Shoes, Home, and Baby Depot

  • Assist in management of all areas of store operations as needed

Candidates must have 2+ years of Retail Management experience in a Big Box or Specialty environment and be able to work a flexible schedule; including early morning, nights, weekends and holidays as required. Candidates must also be able to lift and move boxes weighing up to 40 lbs. and should be comfortable utilizing computerized scheduling and reporting software.

Area Contracting Manager - NJ Trane Responsible for the operations portion of the Contracting and the Intelligent Services Fulfillment business with the Pine Brook, New Jersey area of the Trane NY/NJ district. The Area Contracting Manager manages all aspects of assigned projects, throughout duration, with direct responsibility for project execution and targeted profitability while leading a team, or teams, to accomplish specific objectives in a given time frame and with available resources. The Area Contracting Manager will also work with the development and sales side of the business to help develop new business and sales strategy while validating costs to assure competitive pricing. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other functions may be assigned. * Plays a key role in delivering Contracting and Intelligent Services profitability for the Pine Brook, New Jersey area of the district while working to achieve specific AOP priorities. * Manages performance by monitoring Contracting and Intelligent Services personnel effectiveness and efficiency in relation to customer service and operating plan goals. * Supports the District Contracting Operation Manager in delivering business results and sharing department vision and principles of teaming within. * Create and follow Role Specific Standard Work to increase productivity and remove waste to improve our lean culture * Participate in Lean Trainings (ITL, 9SPS and A3) * Participate in MDI's/MWI's for continuous operational excellence * Responsible for the administration, implementation, and management of the Turnkey, CCS, Controls Contracting and Intelligent Services fulfillment processes in its goal of operational excellence, support of overall strategic objectives, and accountable for overall project financial results. * Responsible to coach, mentor, develop and lead a local group of Turnkey, CCS and Controls project managers, controls field technicians and Intelligent Services fulfillment personnel. * Directly supervises Turnkey, CCS, Controls Contracting and Intelligent Services fulfillment personnel assigned. * Functions as the primary interface between the customer, vendors, sub-contractors, and internal expertise within the sales organization and fulfillment organization. * Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and assigned staff. * Maintains and improves current customer relationships while seeking out other sales opportunities. * Organizes and schedules all assigned Turnkey, CCS, Controls Contracting and Intelligent Services Fulfillment personnel. Identifies and prioritizes projects and plans jobs in detail. * Responsible for all aspects of project planning for ongoing Turnkey, CCS, Controls Contracting and Intelligent Services projects. * Manages the assigned projects within the time and cost estimates if requested. * Reviews and validates contracts and estimates by performing risk analysis and developing risk plans. * Confirms Trane's ability to meet the project performance and financial requirements by obtaining and analyzing customer data, project data, and implementation issues prior to accepting the project. * Leads as a local Turnkey, CCS, controls contracting and Intelligent Services operations safety professional to establish & maintain a work culture that makes safety priority #1. * Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations. * Ensures that assigned fulfillment personnel follow all Climate Solutions ES&H guidelines and policies. * Actively participates in the project development and sales alignment for Turnkey, CCS, direct and indirect controls and Intelligent Services opportunities * Actively participates in teaming within the local office for both Systems and Service Sales and Operations * Actively leads renewal process for local contracting licenses where assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES * Directly supervises a minimum of eight office/field employees in the Contracting and Intelligent Services department. May coach subordinates in the Turnkey, CCS, controls contracting and Intelligent Services process. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Computer Skills Proficiency Required (Knowledge of office equipment and Microsoft Office products).
