Position Overview:

Reporting to the Area Loss Prevention Manager and General Manager, the Loss Prevention Manager is responsible to train and develop the Loss Prevention team and ensure the highest level of standards in policy and procedure. Additionally, they are accountable for the daily oversight of the Loss Prevention department to ensure the security and well being of employees and company assets.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure appropriate health and safety documentation is properly communicated, on display, and available as appropriate (e.g. incident logs)

Plan and manage the budget, manages relations with external vendors

Establish weekly reports about Loss prevention activities

Ensure local law around safety and security are respected in the store.

Ensures the success of shortage and security policies, awareness programs and procedures.

Provide technical expertise on preventing loss as required internally and externally.

Manage and resolve all field investigations.

Assist in the creation and execution of action plans to achieve operational compliance.

Monitor company safety and security policies and procedures through walk-throughs and provide direction and training to ensure opportunities are identified and corrected.

Install surveillance equipment covertly as needed (CCTV, EAS, Intrusion, Access Control systems)

Shrinkage and Theft prevention Management

Ensure all policy and procedures of internal controls are in compliance through audits

Responsible for ensuring company assets protection

Conduct investigations and interviews for inventory, cash loss, and breach of company policies and procedures as needed.

Proactively monitor controls to identify external/internal theft through the utilization of POS exception reporting tools and surveillance systems.

Organize and supervise Loss Prevention training for all levels of the store.

Work with business partners to ensure all aspects of Loss Prevention are integrated into the daily operations of the store.

Work closely with management to communicate, train, monitor and enforce operational standards.

Support training to promote health and safety within the store.

Train new employees on fire and evacuation procedures and retrains the entire team at regular intervals.

Recruit, train and manage a team (loss prevention associates)

Skills & Requirements

Consistent experience of working within a Loss Prevention environment

Experience of guiding / Supervising junior staff members (not necessarily within Loss Prevention)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Excellent time management and ability to prioritize / multi task.

Strong attention to detail required.

Basic knowledge of computer applications; i.e.: Excel, Word, and Power Point.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Knowledgeable of surveillance equipment and installations.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages

Ability to stand for long periods of time, read computer terminals, push, pull, move, lift or carry objects of at least 25 pounds.

Ability to effectively maneuver around sales floor and stockroom, repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbing

Schedule Requirements:

Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the business needs, including nights, evenings and weekends.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in a related field, Master's Degree preferred, or 2+ years in related, Loss or Asset Prevention experience.

Communication Skills: * Effective written and verbal skills, ability to interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
