Assistant Store Manager Opportunity

About The Role

As an Assistant Store Manager at Claire's, you will support your Store Manager with the following;

  • Driving and achieving retail store targets

  • Agreeing daily priorities and overseeing day to day activity

  • Inspiring your store team to drive sales and deliver the finest level of customer service.

  • Ensuring your store is well merchandised and commercially correct.

  • Keeping the store running smoothly

  • Training and coaching the store team to enhance their skills and career development

  • Ear piercing (you will receive full training)

  • In the absence of your Store Manager you will take accountability for the overall operation of your store ensuring high levels of team performance and business results.

About You

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum one year retail management experience

  • Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills

  • Basic computer skills

  • Sound understanding of mathematics and strong reading comprehension skills

  • Understands the importance of Customer Service

  • Ability to analyze sales reports and strategically problem solve

  • Ability to stand during scheduled shifts

  • Ability to maneuver up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally

  • Bending, stooping, extended reaching, climbing ladders and step stools while placing merchandise throughout the store and assisting customers

  • Ability to operate POS system

Supplemental information required: Cover Letter and Resume Job Description: Assistant Public Defenders represent indigent clients in cases including: felony and misdemeanor criminal charges; delinquent youth proceedings; involuntary mental health or developmental disability commitments; abuse and neglect proceedings; dependent/neglect matters; and guardianship or conservatorship proceedings, as described in the Montana Public Defender Act Title 47 http://leg.mt.gov/bills/mca/title_0470/chapters_index.html. Assistant Public Defenders are expected to exercise their own professional judgment and provide competent indigent defense casework pursuant to the Public Defender standards http://publicdefender.mt.gov/Resources/OPD-Practice-Standards, Case assignments are determined by the Regional Deputy Public Defender or Managing Attorney. Assistant Public Defenders duties include but are not limited to case investigation and strategy, discovery review, motion work, plea negotiations, trial preparation and completion, and sentencing. Applicants must be knowledgeable of legal and court policies, procedures, practices, terminology and systems; state and federal laws; rules and regulations; principles and practices of law enforcement. Must have verbal and written communication, negotiation, problem-solving and decision-making skills; must be self-motivated, flexible, and client-oriented; capable of spotting and framing issues to advance the client's interests. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, the public, witnesses, judges/ court personnel, and law enforcement/prosecution personnel. The minimum requirements include a JD from an ABA accredited law school. Ideal candidates will include recent graduates or experienced attorneys who have a strong desire to work in indigent defense. Admission to the State Bar of Montana is required on date of hire.
