Support Store Manager and Sr. Assistant Store Manager in the implementation of initiatives and achievement of goals and objectives, with a focus Operations, Brand and Talent. Ensure consistent implementation of store responsibilities including day to day store operations.


  • Achieve/Exceed personal and store sales goals and performance metrics through the implementation of revenue building strategies.

  • Coach and develop staff to exceed individual and store goals.

  • Coach and develop staff to provide a world class shopping experience through the effective execution of Extraordinary Brand Selling and Service Culture and Concierge Program by establishing a client base, staying connected to customer needs, anticipating customer changes, and meeting customer challenges.

  • Supports the Store Manager and Senior Assistant Store Manager in the achievement of all financial and operational objectives with regards to expense control, Loss Prevention audits/checklists, and weekly reports.

  • Monitor and maintain compliance of all company policies and procedures to make sound business decisions and communicate/educate all staff members

  • Partners with the Store Manager and Senior Assistant Store Manager on the implementation of visual merchandising directives and maintains standards consistent with company brand strategies.

  • Communicates with Store Manager, Senior Assistant Store Manager and/or directly to Corporate partners regarding product mix, trends and needs

  • Holds store keys and regularly participates in store opening and closing functions.


  • BA in Business Administration, or related field preferred

  • 2-3 years of high volume store management experience.

  • Must have the availability and the ability to work a flexible schedule to meets the demands of a retail business and retail consumer which may include regular nights, weekends, long and short shifts.

  • Retail Operations knowledge including: sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, store budget preparation and loss prevention.

  • Strong Computer skills: POS Systems and Microsoft Office, Math Skills and Phone Skills

  • Staff Development Experience: Knowledge in staffing, coaching, counselling, training and development.

  • Able to accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Able to work effectively with others in a team-oriented environment and provide excellent customer service

  • Able to effectively communicate in verbal and written English

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25-50 pounds occasionally

  • Physical requirements include the ability to twist, bend, squat, reach, climb a ladder and stand for extended periods of time, including repetitive use of upper extremities.

Clean immediately if needed and record urine/stool on the treatment sheet. * Personally check all patients for cleanliness before discharge. Groom as needed. * Assist in properly identifying each patient with a cage card on every occupied cage and neckbands on each patient. * Walk pets outside if requested by following hospital protocol and clean up after the patient. * Properly disconnect/reconnect patients from intravenous fluids. * Be familiar with fluid pumps and troubleshooting alarms. * Assist in setting up to take radiographs using proper safety precautions. * Perform basic laboratory tests such as NOVA, CBC, CHEM, LYTES, and PCV's. * Clip and prep for abdominal and cardiac ultrasounds. * Properly clean and pack surgical instruments. * Properly clean the surgery suites, prep area, surgery treatment area and exam rooms. * Notify the Lead Technician when supplies and equipment need to be repaired or ordered. * Obtain vitals on patients when requested and be familiar with normal parameters. * Stock the crash cart and maintain log. Facilities * Keep all areas, including reception, exam rooms, treatment sinks, counter tops, tables, floors, cages etc. clean at all times. * Manage laundry and pet food area, keeping dishes washed and loads moving at all times. * Monitor supplies and paper towels in all areas of the hospital. * Empty garbage as needed. Pay attention to hospital odor control. * Always display a "wet floor" sign after mopping an area. * Perform general janitorial duties to help maintain a clean professional hospital. * Restock inventory items and immediately note deficiencies on the "want list". * Perform 'poop patrol' at least once per shift and restock bags. Phone Responsibilities * Answer every phone call before the third ring with a friendly and compassionate tone. Direct phone call to the appropriate team member. Back Up Responsibilities (if a CSR is not available) * Enter client information into the computer. * Compassionately present a "critical care estimate" and collect fees. * Collect appropriate fees, verify payment on each transaction, and process paperwork accurately. * Perform a simple discharge efficiently, including reading the discharge instructions to the client and referring a technician or doctor with any questions the clients may have, collection of fees and ensuring clients receive all appropriate items. * Crosstrain with a CSR on a quarterly basis. General * Work with other team members and consistently treat all clients and co-workers with courtesy and professionalism. * Always respect patient/client confidentiality. * Immediately notify the Floor Lead/Supervisor/Doctor of any client that seems to be uncomfortable or unhappy with any aspect of our hospital. * Complete training and continuing education assignments on schedule. * Refrain from personal conversations with other staff members while clients are present in exam rooms or the lobby. * Follow safe procedures and immediately inform your Supervisor of unsafe conditions/practices. * Handle all animals with both caution and compassion. * You may be requested to work beyond regularly scheduled shifts at times due to an unexpectedly heavy emergency caseload. * Support other services when required.
