Assistant Site Manager-Building strong teams

We are currently accepting applications for a Residential Assistant Manager for properties located in Minneapolis & St. Paul, MN.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assistant Managers are responsible for assisting Managers with functions related to the direct care, appearance and working order of the site, along with administration and resident support for the property they are assigned. This includes responsibility for staff and resident management, maintaining the property to ensure the property is kept clean, comfortable and safe for the residents.

Duties listed below are responsibilities to assist the Manager:
Collection of charges include, but are not limited to:
Receive and deposit payments ‑ initiate late notices
Prepare and submit rent sheets
Follow‑up as needed
Move‑in/Move‑Out:
Process leasing paperwork for resident and set up files
Show apartments to prospective residents
Coordinate with new resident to accomplish a smooth move‑in
Orient new resident to unit and to building policies
Obtain signed notice from vacating resident, and work with resident to accomplish a smooth move out
Make move out inspection, and provide accounting with information to prepare the security deposit refund
Coordinate preparation of the unit for re‑rental, keep unit security during vacancy, and minimize utility consumption
Administration:
Keep time sheets, work records, and marketing logs
Keep work area in good order
Follow through on work order requests, i.e., initiate the request, instruct the maintenance staff, place copies of completed work orders in the resident files.
Notices:
In addition, the Assistant Manager will perform other reasonable business-related duties as assigned.
Additional Duties:
Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Manager in order to properly operate, manage and maintain the properties.
Assignment and Performance of Work:
Assignment or work assignments are received verbally and in writing from the Manager. The Assistant Manager is expected to assist in organizing the operations of the developments and to complete the required tasks without regular, specific instructions. The Assistant Manager is, however, expected to consult with the Manager on an on‑going basis, and keep the Manager fully informed. The Assistant Manager will compose himself/herself with the utmost professionalism at all times to create the best possible image for the properties.
The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting in making the decisions necessary to schedule, coordinate and accomplish the duties and responsibilities as listed.
The Assistant Manager must consult with the Manager or Portfolio Manager before making a discretionary purchase.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous property management, affordable and multi-housing experience preferred. Experience with Section 8, Project Based, Section 8 Voucher/Certificate and Section 42 Program a plus. Commensurate experience in a human service environment will be considered. Supervisory experience preferred. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize as well as multi-task.
Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office required and Yardi experience preferred. Strong database program experience will be considered.
YARDI experience a plus.
Daily travel between sites is required-Must have reliable vehicle, valid driver's license and valid vehicle insurance.
Wage starting at $20/hr, rate is commensurate with experience.
