Assistant Site Manager- OP

The Assistant Site Manager is responsible for the oversight and leadership of one or more Operations Managers in the overall day-to-day planning, management and execution of the assigned areas of responsibility.

Essential duties and responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee all operations within the assigned area of responsibility at the Center and ensure excellent performance that meets all requirements and standards.

  • Coordinate and work with counterparts to achieve high levels of customer responsiveness and operational performance.

  • Directly supervise, coach and mentor Operations Managers and Unit Supervisors, and other management staff as assigned

  • Hire and manage a technically proficient and professionally capable staff throughout the life of the contract.

  • Provide timely deliverables and performance related data to the Government in order to allow adequate monitoring, oversight, and performance measurement of support services.

  • Ensures that the daily production reports and time sheets are completed and approved so that they accurately reflect the work that was performed at the Site.

  • Ensures that the monthly production reports are reviewed and compared with the time sheets to ensure the number of hours match exactly.

  • Conduct continuous improvement activities to realize improved service delivery capabilities and performance.

  • Promote innovation, efficiency, and effectiveness.

  • Resolve problems with minimal disruption to the activities being performed under the contract.

  • Respond rapidly to surge requests and provide the appropriate levels of qualified staff.

  • Interfaces with the OES (Operations Excellence Department) to improve processes and update Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Participate in conference calls as required with. May be requested to provide formal and informal briefings.

  • Act as backup to Deputy Program Manager when called upon to do so.

The Basic Qualifications for this position are as follows:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain an Secret security clearance

  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive 7-year criminal and credit history background check

  • Must successfully complete a drug screening

Minimum Experience, Education and Licensure:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required. Four (4) years of additional experience may be substituted for a BS/BA degree

  • Five (5) years of management experience, including at least two (2) years managing a large-scale operation of size, scope, and complexity similar to this requirement

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and oral communication

  • Superior organizational skills and work ethic

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and supervise senior and mid-level managers and supervisors

  • Strong command of the English language both verbally and written

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills

  • Basic Computer Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrate a professional work ethic

  • Basic understanding of geography

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of the team

  • Excellent written and oral communication, and;

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and supervise senior and mid-level managers and supervisors

Work Environment:

This position is performed in a traditional office environment.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Maintains a positive attitude; creates an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork.
