As a retail Site Supervisor

  • Sales Photographer, you will:
  • You will be learning and adapting to photography styles, with a motivation to excel in sales performance.

  • You will be demonstrating ability to meet sales targets in a busy environment.

  • You will display a professional communication skills and appearance.

  • You will be working a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays it's tourism after all!

  • You will need a fearless approach to capturing memories and creating exceptional experiences for our guests.

  • You will need the ability to work while standing or walking (with reasonable accommodation).

  • You should have computer proficiency and cash register experience preferred.

Duties for the Best Job you have ever had:

  • Acting as lead manager in the absence of the Photography Operations Manager/Assistant Manager.

  • Assisting, with accuracy, in daily supervisory and administrative duties including, but not limited to scheduling, payroll, purchase orders, deposits, receipt logs, daily accounting recaps and inventory.

  • Performing all tasks as required of other team members, as needed which could include photo editing and adjustments in Photoshop, and greeting and taking photos of guests.

  • Organizing and maintaining facilities, to include, but not limited to lab, sales area, restrooms, storage area, and productions areas.

The Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • One-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Exercising initiative and problem solving skills.

  • Proven track record and dependability.

  • Professional communication skills and appearance.

  • Excellent customer service and/or retail sales skills

  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays it's tourism after all!

  • Ability to work while standing and walking (with reasonable accommodation) and in an outdoor atmosphere that could include inclement or sunny weather.

  • Experience in digital photography and/or management a plus, but not mandatory.

Housekeeping Staff II will assist with maintaining an overall, immaculate appearance of all historic structures and surrounding guest facilities. This position will be responsible for maintaining the courtyard and front areas of Biltmore House clean and free of debris for guests. Duties will consist of emptying trash cans, maintaining public restrooms, performing minor maintenance, sweeping and track pickup. Staff will also perform other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor from time to time, and provide general assistance and support for the department and company. Job Duties: * Empty various trash cans around the exterior of Biltmore House. * Maintain public restrooms. * Pickup and sweep trash and debris around the exterior of Biltmore House. * Maintain service standards set forth by the Biltmore Company. Requirements: 1. High school diploma (or GED). Relevant training or certifications in commercial cleaning or a related field preferred. 2. At least one (1) year of related experience in a janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning field. The ideal candidate will have had similar experience working in a historic building or setting. 3. Working knowledge of modern cleaning methods and equipment. The preferred candidate will have general knowledge of restoration, conservation and preservation methods and practices. 4. Experience working with commercial cleaning solutions and chemicals and knowledgeable about the safe application. Must be able to read and understand material safety data sheets (MSDS). 5. Demonstrated commitment to quality and providing world class service. 6. Ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment. 7. Willingness to follow oral/written instructions; establish and maintain working relationship with supervisors and co-workers. 8. Ability to act/re-act to emergency situations calmly. An independent thinker with ability to solve problems – self-motivated. 9. Team player and with a willingness to pitch in and help out wherever needed. The ideal candidate will proactively anticipate and troubleshoot issues. 10. Valid driver's license, a clean driving record for at least three (3) years, and must be at least 19 years of age. Physical Requirements: 1. Manual dexterity and ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate/heavy physical strength. 2. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and 75 pounds occasionally. 3. Must be able to stoop, bend, reach overhead, kneel, and reach overhead/below, crouch.. 4. Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time. 5. Ability to climb stairs and ladders. 6. Ability to work exposed to dust, dirt, fluids, pollen, fluids, and noxious odors. 7. Should also be able to work indoors and outside with changes in temperature and environmental conditions. 8. Good eyesight and hearing to properly inspect, evaluate, and assess.
